Manufactured by Cessna Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas and gained by the U.S. Air Force on August 25th 1967. Civilian Construction Number 337M-0073. Oct 1967    To 504th Tactical Air Support Group (Pacific Air Forces), Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai Air Force Base, Thailand. Feb 1968    To Da Nang Air Base, Vietnam. Apr 1968    Aircraft dropped from U.S. Air Force inventory as combat loss, no flight hours on the airframe listed. Additional Note: O-2A s/n 67-21367 was assigned to the 504th Tactical Air Support Group, 20th Tactical Air Support Squadron at Da Nang Air Base, on April 28th 1967 21367 was flown by USAF Capt James F. Lang, while on a night time visual reconnaissance mission west of Hue 21367 was shot down by ground fire while possibly searching for a downed C-130 Hercules aircraft two days before. Capt Lang was killed when his aircraft hit the ground, un-confirmed reports that a USAF Helicopter reached the crash site and recovered his body.
