Manuafactured by Cessna Aircraft, in Wichita, Kansas and gained by the U.S. Air Force on May 12 1967. Jun 1967 To 504th Tactical Air Support group (Pacific Air Forces), Binh Thuy Air Base, Vietnam. Oct 1967 To Da Nang Air Base, Vietnam. Nov Aircraft dropped from U.S. Air Force inventory. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION U. S. Air Force Captain John Robert Baldridge Jr. was from Memphis, TN and borne on November 2nd 1946. He was 23 and married when he was lost. Captain Baldridge was a Lopez Forward Air Controller and was assigned to the 20th Tactical Air Support Squadron at Da Nang Air Base in South, Vietnam. He was flying O-2A s/n 67-21301 along with Lieutenant Colonel Walter A. Renelt. They were checking roads and trails 20 miles west of Kham Duc when the aircraft was shot down in Laos. His body was not recovered. He was promoted while missing and was a graduate of Texas A&M University. His name is located at 16W 097 on the Vietnam Memorial. Colonel Walter A. Renelt was from Wilmont, South Dakota and was born on April 24th 1929. He was 40 and married when he was lost. Col Renelt was a Lopez Forward Air Controller assigned to the 20th Tactical Air Support Squadron at Da Nang Air Base in South Vietnam, he was flying O-2A s/n 67-21301 along with Captain John Robert Baldridge Jr. they were both checking roads and trails 20 miles west of Kham Duc when the aircraft was shot down in Laos.
